Today we have a few more to go through so without further ado, let’s get into a few more fantastic musicals to see this year:
Starting with:

Matilda – Oct 2019 – Cambridge Theatre

Matilda is a classic children’s tale written by one of the most popular children’s authors of our time ‘Roal Dahl’. This incredible story of a young and incredibly bright girl named Matilda who discovers beyond her own belief that she has superpowers.

Able to move things with her mind Matilda keeps her secret close but what ensues is a series of mischief and shenanigans in the name of the greater good.

Matilda has the kindest heart and this story follows a young girl on her own pursuit of happiness. A fun little tale and an incredibly popular 90’s movie, Matilda is sure to be a fun time at the theatre and let’s be fair, when do Roal Dahl’s stories ever let us down.

Thriller – Sept 2018 – Lyric Theatre

10 years after the legends death, Micheal Jackson’s thriller hits our theatres. The album named Thriller was released in 1982 is one of the most famous and best-selling albums ever recorded.

The albums lead single of the same name ‘Thriller’ has since become a cultural phenomenon. The music video featured Micheal Jackson on a date with a girl.

Pretty normal. A few minutes in though Michael begins to change and becomes a ghoulish zombie. The music video thrilled and shocked audiences at the time and this year Thriller will be retold and performed live in theatre aiming to thrill audiences once more.

School of Rock

School of Rock is a film which was released in 2004 and has since garnered its own cult following. Starring Jack Black the film follows ‘Duey Finn’, a failed rock-star who tricks his way onto becoming a supply teacher and using his new found power over children to teach them the ways of rock and roll.

Along with a fun cast of quirky kids School of Rock has become a loved story of redemption and finding your path. Now for the first time ever, you can experience this hard-hitting tale of school and rock in theatres live with your gorgeous Cheshire Companion.
